Romantic Valentine’s Day Dining In and Around Madison Wisconsin

Romantic Dinner Reservations

Madison is one of a number of cities claiming to have The Most Restaurants per Capita, but even so, there are so many to choose from.  The  The Daily Page  has many restaurant reviews.  The following are my recommendations for some of the most romantic spots.

L’Etoile- You have to experience L’Etoile at least once if you are in the Madison area

The Melting Pot -  Fondue from appetizer to main dish and chocolate fondue for dessert

Fresco - Often voted very romantic and is one of many delightful restaurants from Food Fight

Harvest - Nationwide awards and acclaim for this very fine restaurant

Lombardino’s   - some of the finest  Italian cuisine in the area

Portabella-   A classic romantic Italian Dining Spot, a Madison favorite for 40 years

Nadia’s  - Oh so romantic – on State Street, up one flight of stairs-very private and elegant

Louisanne’s etc.   - One of my very favorite places in Middleton WI, it feels like you are stepping downstairs into New Orleans, complete with live Jazz

5328 Lake Mendota Drive Madison Wisconsin 53703: Just Sold by Barbara Chatterton

This is the stuff of which dream homes are made: prime Lake Mendota waterfront, a prestigious address, the largest waterfront lot in Spring Harbor, with nearly fifty feet of shoreline. The buyers plan to build their dream home on this beautiful lake shore lot.

The home had been listed at $489,900. It expired and I contacted the seller and brought him an offer from my buyers. It closed on Friday for $405,000. “Open Wide, This Won’t Hurt A Bit” and Other Things You Won’t Hear From This Realtor

How do you get to this?

Couple celebrating moving into their new house

It would not be with unhappy surprises and challenges your Realtor had not mentioned to you, would it? Hearing what you need to hear upfront and what possible issues could arise
Trust me. Unfortunately, that phrase has such bad press due to blatant misuse. It’s not just because of those old time fast talkers who could hypnotize a crowd into paying their last nickle for a Magic Elixer, or politicians who promise to lower taxes, or used car salesmen. It is too often Realtors, too. Realtors who will tell you things you want to hear.

$400,000-sure, we can certainly get that for your house.
You are not going to hear that from me if your home in current market conditions, may fetch $350, 000 at the most.

I will always communicate, give you a steady stream of feedback, show your house to it’s very best advantage, arrange custom photography and get it out there to grab the right buyer’s attention.

Some of the things I am may tell you will be things you do not want to hear. But they will be real and to the best of my knowledge enhanced by obtaining any additional expert advice we may need

  • No, we are not going to “Try” listing at an inflated price and then just keep inching the price down a few thousand each month.
  • Yes, you do have to paint those three rooms, replace your counter tops and appliances if you want to get the best price for your home.
  • No, you will not get all your money back for upgrading, but it will help you sell your home.
  • You need to make lots of space, clear out more of your furniture and belongings to give buyers a better idea of the space and help them be able to picture their own things in the house and mentally “move in.”
  • Yes, you may have to take a loss, but since you moving up, we can very likely offset your loss on the other end.
  • If we can’t celebrate due to a challenging market and the huge gain you had hoped for, the knowledge of putting it behind you and not having to deal with a less than perfect situation can be very comforting.

And sometimes it will click and everything will fall into place just the way we hope it will.
